10. No. 2 Trainer (2000)

This card was designed for Toshiyuki Yamaguchi, who came in second place in Japan’s Secret Super Battle Best tournament held in August 2000. This card is insanely expenisve due to the fact that there is only one in existence. This card was sold in July 2023 for $137,500.

9. Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holographic Lugia

This card comes from one of the first sets ever created, Neo Genesis. Production issues in 2000 made grading this set difficult, and it is one of three Lugias to get a pristine 10 grade. This card sold in May 2021 for $144,300.

8. Kangaskhan Family Trophy Card Holographic

Just like the No. 2 Trainer card, this card was only obtainable from a tournament in Japan in 1998. Families competed against each other, and it was awarded to those who won a high number of games in the tournement. The card in a gem mint 10 sold in July 2023 for $175,000.

7. Ishihara GX Promo Card (Autographed)

This card was made for The Pokémon Company president and visionary Tsunekazu Ishihara on his 60th birthday. There were a very limited number of the card handed out, and one that was autographed sold for sold for $247,230 in April 2021.

This card was from the first ever pokemon tournament in Chiba, Japan in 1997. This card was given to those who achieved 3rd place in the tournament. This card in a PSA 8 sold for $300,000 in April 2023.

This blastoise card was a presentation to convince nintendo of the viability of the english market. There were only two of this card ever printed, and one was graded in a 8.5 and sold for $360,000 in January 2021.
